Apple aired a new iPhone commercial focusing on iOS-connected smart home hardware and parenting apps: baby monitor, toothbrushing guide, thermometer, dog tracker or Bluetooth-enabled smart plant sensor.
The spot, entitled “Parenthood,” follows the lead of earlier ads by featuring several third-party apps and accessories. The iPhone clearly serves as a platform through which parents can teach, play and communicate with their children. In sum, if your kids don’t have Apple stuff, you’re doing it wrong!
The commercial obviously hints at a direction for the future: a connected world, with a focus on products for health and home.
