Never mind the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, Chinese phone giant Huawei can’t wait to show its upcoming smartwatch.
Huawei digital piece is a timeless and elegant watch with a circular face like the Moto 360. The metal watch is powered by Android Wear, uses Google’s platform and works with Android phones. The promotional video above reveals that the device, with a sapphire display and a stainless steel casing, is aimed for the upscale crowd. Huawei has also designed a number of very traditional watch faces, making the device suitable for any occasion.
The watch will come in at least three different finishes (silver/metal with a fancy mesh band, gold with a brown leather band, and black with a matching sport band) and with a wide array of straps ranging from a traditional metal bracelet to leather straps. Like the upcoming Apple Watch, there is a digital crown that will bring the display back to the home watchface. The bottom of the watch includes a heart-rate monitor and full fitness tracking functions.
Specs, price and availability will probably be revealed tomorrow at MWC. All in all, this Huawei piece is one of the most stylish Android Wear smartwatches so far.
